Cas No. 1072-84-0 1H-Imidazole-4-carboxylic acid
Appearance：Off-white to light brown solid
1H-imidazole-4-carboxylic acid is an organic compound containing an imidazole ring and has certain biological activity. Because its imidazole ring has aromaticity, it has certain biological activity and pharmacological action. Applications in pharmaceutical synthesis:
(1) Antiviral drugs: 1H-imidazol-4-formic acid is an important basic compound used by researchers to synthesize antiviral drugs, and can be used as a key structural unit in the synthesis of anti HIV, anti hepatitis A virus, anti hepatitis B virus, anti influenza virus and other drugs. For example, 2-methyl-1H-imidazol-4-carboxylic acid methyl ester compounds have been confirmed to have anti hepatitis B virus activity.
(2) Antitumor drugs: In the biosynthesis process of tumor cells, imidazole compounds can exert anti-tumor effects through multiple pathways such as affecting cell cycle, inhibiting enzyme activity, and inducing apoptosis. 1H-imidazole-4-carboxylic acid can be used as a precursor for synthesizing imidazole derivatives with anti-tumor activity, such as imidazoloquinone compounds.
(3) Antibacterial drugs: Imidazole compounds have strong antibacterial activity and can inhibit the growth and reproduction of various bacteria, fungi, and protozoa.
(4) Anti inflammatory drugs: 1H-imidazole-4-carboxylic acid has important value in the synthesis of non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs with anti-inflammatory effects.
